Plasma Coated Rollers

Plasma Coatings are typically flame-sprayed on rollers (and other industrial parts). The plasma chemical coating process creates oxide-metallic layers characterized by accurate depositions. These coatings are primarily applied when nonstick, corrosion resistance and wear resistance properties are required. Its processes include metalizing, electric arc spray, thermal spray, plasma spray, and high velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF).

Plasma chemical coating is a process that creates oxide-ceramic layers characterized by accurate depositions. Additional benefits include options for high-release properties, low co-efficients of friction, excellent traction & grip, non-stick, traction only, easy handling, no bacterial resistance, thermal resistance, food-grade composition, anti-static and electrical applications, corrosion resistance, durability, and affordability.

The team at Martin Solutions Group has been restoring my nonwoven facility’s machine carbon fiber rolls for over 8 years.  Using their Plasma Coating systems on our damaged rolls has greatly reduced the price and long lead times associated with an OEM replacement, which could have resulted in extended downtimes.  We see no loss of processability versus a new OEM replacement roll and would recommend Martin Solutions Group and their Plasma Coating process to anyone with a similar process.
