Roller Resurfacing for Precision Adhesives Company
We provided a complete refurbishment of the rollers and their supporting hardware.
Roller Resurfacing
A high-volume adhesives manufacturing operation had chrome-plated coater applicator rollers that were coming to the end of their recommended service life.
The company knew that resurfacing the rollers would be far more cost effective than purchasing new replacement rollers, but they needed to be certain that the refurbished rollers would deliver like-new performance with no decline in quality for their various lines of adhesive-backed products.
Martin Solutions Group led the client through our extensive experience in resurfacing, replating, precision-engineering, and fabrication – all of which would be essential to fulfilling their expectations.
Our engineering and design teams conducted virtual meetings to discuss project parameters, and once the set of rollers were initially received and inspected, additional specification calls and video conferences were completed to confirm timelines and other details of the work.
Roller Resurfacing & Complete Refurbishing
Working methodically step by step, we were able to provide a complete refurbishment of the rollers and their supporting hardware.
The entire project was accelerated due to a change in the customer’s production demands and we were able to beat the agreed upon due date, which allowed the client to continue operating and maximize up time.
Some of the unique specifications for this roller resurfacing project:
- Chemically Remove and Apply new chromium plating (2) chromium coater rolls to 4 Ra surface finish or better
